"Initially ITI Midnapore/Jhargram/Hijli/ITC Sevayatan were selected for imparting long term and short term training programme under LWE scheme in the year2011. A new Govt. ITI has been constructed in Binpur-1 in August-2018 in the LWE area. The regular training activities have already been started. DGT has introduced a new scheme “Surrender-cum-Rehabilitation Scheme of Left Wing Extremists (LWE)”in 2018.
78 surrendered Maoists were being provided training in CTS course in ITI Midnapore, ITI Jhargram and ITI Binpur-1 to bring Maoists back on mainstream to lead normal life. Stipend @Rs 6000/ pm per trainee was awarded under the said scheme.
