The Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) isfor training of skilled craftsmen. It is implemented through Govt. and Pvt. Industrial Training Institutes(ITIs). Craftsman Training is imparted in ITIs leading to National Trade Certificate in Engineering and Non-Engineering trade courses. Duration of these training courses varies from 1 year-2 Years which are NSQF compliant courses in 140 Trades. About 25 lakh youths are trained through 15,000 ITIs in National level.
