Women Industrial Training Institute Kolkata was established in the year 1992 under the World Bank Scheme by the Director of Industrial Training, Govt. of West Bengal with a view to Women Empowerment Programme and enabling women to become self-sufficient so that they may not only influence their family income but the national economy also by acquiring different industrial skills. In our Institute, Three Non-Engineering Trades named Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Cosmetology & Secretarial Practice (English) and Two Engineering Trade named Electronics Mechanic and Solar Technician (Electrical) are running exclusively for women trainees.
