The Industrial Training Institute for Physically Challenged Boys and Girls, Kolkata has been set up after years of persistent effort at Kolkata Karigori Bhavan, Kolkata by the Government of West Bengal in the year of 2006 for the purpose of Skill development among the community of differently abled (DA) people. This category of ITI is first and only one Training Institute in Eastern Region of India for imparting vocational trade training to DA persons of types OH, HI and SI (degree of disability = 40% and above) in order to enable them competent, self-dependent and to get merged them with the main stream of the society.
