Industry Institute Partnership (IIP)

Industry – Institute – Partnership Model (IIP – Model) – The Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT), West Bengal under the administrative control of Department of Technical Education, Training and Skill Development, Government of West Bengal intends to improve the existing Industry-Institute-Partnership Model. Introduction of Industry – Institute – Partnership Model (IIP – Model) becomes an integral part of the skill eco-system to bridge the gap of demand and supply of skilled workforce with the industry standards that can be constituted by industry partners where the industry may utilize the existing infrastructure of the nearby Govt. ITIs in this State.

Several reputed Industries like Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL), Royal Enfield, Samsung, Garden Reach Ship Builders (I) Ltd.etc have been signed MoU with State Director and IMCs of different ITIs to strengthen the Industry Institute Partnership and started functioning efficiently and offered employment to the passed outs. They have provided Costly Machinery & Equipment to ITIs and depute their Technical Experts as Trainer to impart training to trainees as per the skill requirement of the industries. The passed-out trainees of the said Trades like Automobile, Welder, Electronics etc are placed in their factories and linked with the production from the very first-day of their joining.

Renowned companies like Geetanjali Solar Enterprise, Keya Seth College of Beauty & Sulekha Works Limited have been approached the DIT for on-the-job training (OJT) of the ITI Trainees in different sectors. Also, world famous Industry like L&T Construction from construction sector and M/s. TICSAN Digital Pvt. Ltd. from telecom sector has approached DIT for IIP and we have already placed this matter to our superior authority which are in a finalization stage.
